General Information
Started building in 1981. Original structure, local rough-cut lumber with fiberglass insulation. Continually upgrading to dense-pack cellulose.
Features
Small off-grid PV system installed 1989, total of 375 Watts. Upgraded in 2010 to 800 Watts. Mostly DC appliances.
Also have a Tarm (Scandtec) wood gasification boiler distributed through a hybrid of baseboard and radiant heat. Hoping to have a heat storage tank associated with the boiler (either 2011 or 2012).
Special Instructions
We have a donkey, turkeys and a dog.
