Board Member Bio

NHSEA board members biographies are provided for those members who are up for election.

Thomas Palma, Esq., CSDP

Tom is the Project Development Executive at the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative (NHEC) in Plymouth, NH. He joined NHEC in September 2002. At this position, he is responsible for developing new programs such as Solar Hot Water, Small Wind, Solar PV, and High Efficiency Heat Pumps. He manages the Efficient Outdoor Area Lighting/Dark Skies program and the Carbon Footprint program. He also conducts research into new energy efficient and renewable energy technologies. He sits on a national electric cooperative research team based in Arlington, VA (CRN) and is the Chairperson of an international utility research team based in Montreal, Canada (CEATI). Tom has served on the NESEA board for the past 2 years, the NHSEA board for the past 4 years and is an Ambassador for NHBSR. Previously, Tom worked as an Energy Engineer for a consulting firm in CA and as an attorney in his own practice in MA.

Tom holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Umass, Amherst and a Juris Doctor Degree from Suffolk University, Boston, MA. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and is a Certified Sustainable Development Professional.
